Medications work best when used correctly, so Medication Management involves collaboration with all members of the treatment team to get medications right.

About Our Med Management Providers

Dr. Nina Abul-Husn, MD is a dual Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and Addiction Medicine Specialist. Her full-scope general medicine training provides her the ability to provide comprehensive medical care for people of all ages, though her passion and dedication lies in helping those with substance use and mental health conditions.
 
Dr. Nina has an extensive background in the life sciences, having graduated from Indiana University with a degree in biochemistry and microbiology, as well as a background in public health and tropical medicine, having graduated with a Master’s degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed her medical training and has been practicing in the Treasure Valley since 2012.
 
Dr. Nina is passionate about helping patients navigate the complexities of substance use and mental health with a warm and understanding approach.  She strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where healing and growth can flourish and believes that every step forward, no matter how small, is a success worth celebrating. Dr. Nina is committed to providing compassionate care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery and is dedicated to supporting her patients every step of the way.

 

Cassi Shelly, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a highly skilled and dual-certified healthcare professional, holding certifications as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). With over a decade of experience in the Treasure Valley, she has been working in both internal medicine and behavioral health specialties, which has allowed her to develop a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care.

Cassi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from Idaho State University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She furthered her expertise with a Post-Master’s certification from the University of New Hampshire as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Additionally, Cassi holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Idaho State University.

Throughout her career, Cassi has cultivated a passion for specializing in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, integrating her diverse skill set to support her patients’ overall well-being.
