Trivium currently offers Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) at our Boise and Caldwell, Idaho locations.
What is MOUD?
Opioid use disorder (OUD) affects millions of individuals, and treatment with medications can be lifesaving. Additionally, medications can be helpful to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone are all different medication treatment options for OUD. Trivium’s Idaho clinics offer both buprenorphine and naltrexone treatment. Buprenorphine is typically administered in the form of a tablet or film and is often prescribed as a combination agent with naloxone (Suboxone, Zubsolve). Buprenorphine can also be administered in the form of a long acting injectable which we also offer in our Boise clinic (Sublocade). Naltrexone is administered as an oral tablet or a long acting injectable (Vivitrol). Your provider can help determine what the best option is for you.
